Ashley Tanner, VP of Operations
Since childhood, Ashley has been fascinated by flight. A space-camp veteran, she began her pursuit of a career in aeronautical training systems and design as an undergraduate at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. After receiving her bachelor of science in human factors psychology, with minors in aerospace life sciences and space studies, Ashley came to Bentley to further her studies of human factors. Currently taking five classes and working as a graduate assistant, Ashley vaguely recalls something called “free time” which she historically spent reading, drumming, volunteering for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and trying on pilot hats while making vroom vroom noises. But don’t be fooled by her seemingly boundless energy: Ashley is powering her way through graduate school on a balanced diet of Swedish fish, candy corn, Apple Jacks, and sugar cola.
A total travel nut, Ashley has traveled the world on the semester-at-sea program and looks forward to her May journey to France as part of Bentley’s GBE 790 Global Innovation Management in Practice class.
CB Loeb, VP of Marketing/Communications
CB Loeb is a technical writer, software trainer, and budding UX professional who is passionate about helping others get the most out of their software. She has worked in the high-tech industry since the mid-90s and held a diverse range of positions including webmaster, content editor, QA engineer, and independent consultant. Currently she is on the faculty of the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, where she delivers one-of-a-kind software classes to adults. CB loves teaching, reading, good grammar, confident verbs, and her terrier — a Toto lookalike. If she were a sitcom character, her catch phrase would be uttered during times of graphical-visual assault: “My eyes, my eyes. Make it stop!”
In her spare time, CB slays errant apostrophes.
Zac Diener, VP of Testing & Assessment
Zac Diener discovered the world of usability testing and assessment while obtaining a degree in Cognitive Science at UC San Diego. One of Zac’s first studies was testing children for semantic reasoning with the Cognitive Development Laboratory at UC San Diego. After graduation, Zac pursued his interests by working for BN Research, a market research company in Portland, Oregon. At BN Research Zac assisted with everything from data collection to market analysis. Zac is also the founder of the acrobatic performance troupe, Kazüm, which has performed during the Portland Trailblazers half-time show and for the inaugural celebration for the Mayor of Portland, Sam Adam. Kazüm continues to perform today. When not on the Bentley campus, Zac coaches children’s gymnastics in Cambridge.
Kruti Thakkar, VP of Finance
Kruti Thakkar graduated in 2006 with Bachelors in commerce followed by a Masters in Commerce from Mumbai University (India) she started working for JP Morgan. Being one of the top investment banks, gave her the opportunity to learn more about the financial sector fueling further interest in pursuing further studies in the same. This is what brought her to the MSF program in Bentley University. But what with all this finance lingo, how does HFID come in the picture? Introduced to HFID by a friend she wanted to gain further knowledge of this interesting sector. Being able to participate in HFIDO was a perfect opportunity for the same. As part of the peoples committee at work and having organized many events, she brings forward that experience to this organization. Kruti is appreciative of the opportunity be part of HFIDO and to assist in broadening its recognition.
