Details
The workshop is a daylong event, aimed at encouraging graduate and undergraduate students of Human Factors and other related disciplines to present their research and network with other researchers, professors and professionals. To encourage participation, the workshop is held at no cost to the students. It is intended to be quite informal and presenters may discuss past research, work in progress or potential research topics and/or issues related to human factors engineering. Students that have not yet had the opportunity to present at major conferences are especially encouraged to participate as this is a great platform to get feedback from colleagues and gain confidence!

UPA Boston Movie Night – Objectified – August 30, 2011
UPA Boston invites the Boston design and interaction community to a special summer screening of the movie “Objectified” on Tues, August 30 at the Regent Theatre, Arlington MA.

It’s that time again: hFIDO is gearing up for a new school year.
This Thursday is the GSA (Graduate School Association) Expo, where you can explore on-campus activities. New and returning students are welcome to come by the hFIDO booth where we will be giving away goodies.
Come claim some swag and find out about hFIDO programs and events for the fall semester. We have several workshops in offing as well as a few social and career-specific events.
Want to get involved? We have several board positions available. Being on the board is a great way to be active in the hFIDO community and network. We hope to see you there!

We are seeking an experienced Information Architect who will be responsible for translating concepts into effective information architectures. In this role, you will contribute to the planning process of various Web sites by organizing information, developing Web site architectures, and developing labeling/search systems.
Qualifications
- Significant experience working on complex content-based sites – content management systems experience CMS.
- Proficiency in VISIO.
- Work with designers and developers to refine the user interface.
