IA/UX Designer Contract in Boston

We are currently seeking a mid-senior level Information Architect/User Experience Designer to work on-site in Boston on a 4-6 week project with our client a large well-known advertising agency.

The project is: building two Facebook applications for a major airline. You must be able to design engaging Facebook experiences using the platform?s latest features and functionality. The role will involve extensive collaboration with art directors, copywriters, developers and account strategists to refine the creative concepts behind the projects. In addition to thinking about the big picture, you will also build out a wide range of detailed IA documentation to support the

creative and development process. You will be responsible for the analysis of complex data structures and the generation of content maps that define the relationships of the data. You will generate detailed wireframe

specifications and present them to a variety of stakeholders, ranging from clients to designers to developers. Experience creating use cases and user flows to illustrate how the user interacts with the applications is a must.

Requirements

-3 to 5 years of experience as an Information Architect, User Experience Designer or similar career in an agency environment

-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in information design, human-computer interaction, or related field

- Proficiency in Visio or Axure

- Deep understanding of industry best-practices for designing usable, engaging and social experiences

-Strong communication and presentation skills

-The desire to collaborate in a fast-paced environment

-Familiarity with user research methodologies and techniques is a plus
