April 20: Prototyping Tools: Axure & Balsamiq
Michael Ledoux is the Manager of User Experience at EnerNOC and an HFID alum. He will be showing us some of the most commonly-used prototyping tools in the industry: Axure and Balsamiq. While Axure will be the focus of the class, students interested in attending are requested to download both tools onto their laptops and bring them to class. Attendees are also asked to view the tutorials or do other exploratory research that they have time for.
Axure is free for students and Balsamiq has a 7-day free trial.

April 27: Ideation Sketching
Martha Ware is the course instructor for Fundamentals of Visual Communication, a course for Bentley undergrads. She is a current student in the HFID program, and a RISD alum. She will show us how to get our ideas from thought to paper and how to use visualizations to communicate quickly. Come find out how to effectively redirect a stymied meeting with a few quick sketches on the white board, how to lay out a mobile device screen in minutes, and where to look for the best tutorials on Adobe Creative Suite. Bring unlined paper or a sketchbook, pencils, pens and an eraser to this fun and interactive class!
