Welcome Back / New Student Q&A

Hi everyone,
First of all, congratulations to all recent graduates of the HF program! That includes Dharmesh Mistry, our out-going HFIDO President, and Zac Diener, our out-going VP of Testing & Assessment. On behalf of the rest of the board members, I would like to say a big thank you for all their hard work with HFIDO and wish them the very best!
I will be taking over from Dharmesh, while CB Loeb remains our VP of Communications and David Hoberman our VP of Operations. As such, there are 2 open positions on the HFIDO board: VP of Finance and VP of Testing & Assessment. Please email me if you’re interested to know more about them.
I’d also like to announce a newly-created position: VP of Alumni Relations, which will be filled by HF alum, Ashley Tanner. This will help us maintain a stronger relationship between current students and alumni, and we’re glad Ashley will be there to facilitate this!
Our first event to welcome everyone back will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm, at Smith 122. This is a chance for new and current students to ask any questions they might have about the program, and also to find out more about the activities we have planned for this semester. We hope you can join us!

Boston Hack Day Challenge

The Boston Hack Day Challenge

Current HFIDer Susan DiManno wants to spread the word. The Boston Hack Day Challenge is coming up, and this would be a prime opportunity for HFIDers to pounce and play.

About the Challenge

Are you a software developer or designer? Are you a product manager, marketer or startup enthusiast? Come spend 48 hours to build a web site or phone app that will make life better in Boston. It’s a weekend of hacking where you can think up ideas, pitch concepts to each other, join into teams to quickly build as much as you can, and present the results.
