Experience Architect Position with MISI Company
Overview
The Experience Architect works closely with the XD Strategist and/or Lead Experience Architect (LEA), and Designers. S/he participates in audience research and is responsible for helping to interpret the results of the research. The EA assists the LEA in establishing the structure that will inform all subsequent aspects of experience design and development.
Responsibilities:
* Help create robust design documentation, including but not limited to personas, findings and recommendations and functional specifications
* Prepare audience research approach
* Create research tools, such as surveys, questionnaires, and test scripts necessary to conduct research
* Conduct research activities, such as contextual inquiries, one-to-one interviews, focus groups, field studies, etc.
* Conduct heuristic evaluations and competitive audits of digital tools, including but not limited to business applications, websites, mobile applications, and identify areas for improvement in design
* Compile and document findings of the research and identify patterns and trends
* Apply the tools necessary to illustrate the experience at the various stages of design, including flowcharting, storyboarding, and/or prototyping
* Implement research and testing strategies, analyze test results and make recommendations
* Present findings and recommendations to clients
* Self-manage own tasks and schedules
* Create demand for EA services
Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree in experience design or related field
* Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience, e.g. HCI, communications design, product design or interaction/information architecture background preferred
* Experience with large projects preferred
* Ability to work both independently with limited direction and within the constraints of a project team
* Excellent communication skills & collaborative skills
* Mobile device/application design experience highly desirable
* Experience designing for a variety of media preferred
